Former GIRLSCHOOL Guitarist Battling Cancer Of The Spine

Veteran British female hard rockers GIRLSCHOOL have issued the following update:

"Original member Kelly Johnson [guitar] has been fighting an ongoing battle with cancer of the spine. For anybody who would like to send their best wishes or a personal message to Kelly, please [send it to] [email protected] and we'll make sure she gets it."

GIRLSCHOOL in 2005 finished recording new versions of the songs "Emergency" and "London". Both tracks are available as paid digital downloads. If you want to hear a sample of either cut, check out the "Downloads" page of the group's web site.

GIRLSCHOOL is continuing to tour in support of its first-ever live DVD, "Girlschool Live at the Garage", and their 2004 album, "Believe".
